Who it's for
Any group looking for a unique way to spend a few hours together. Bachelor and bachelorette parties. Birthday parties. Corporate team building events. A new excuse to hang out with friends or coworkers just because. All of them work - we're pretty sure everyone will wind up having a good time regardless.
How it works
You decide on a three hour window that is convenient for your group. When you come in, you'll be shown to your lane, taught how to throw our hatchets, and practice for a bit. Then the competition begins...
If you've got a smaller group (with less than 4 people), we also have a lane where you'll possibly be combined with other groups. It'll be for a shorter period (2 hours instead of 3), but we'll cover all of the same ground and get some good competition going.
While we're completing our buildout, we're charging $40 per person (plus tax) for three hours. Once we finish building our lanes and our bar we expect this pricing to increase modestly. For our non-private lanes (for smaller groups), we're now charging $30 per person (plus tax) for two hours.
Rules, waivers, and legal things
As you can imagine since we're dealing with throwing hatchets and axes, we have some important rules that you'll have to follow for everyone's safety. You'll be briefed on these rules when you arrive, in addition to having to sign a waiver acknowledging the risks associated with what we'll be doing. It won't take long but it's very important, so we highly recommend groups arrive together to ensure our team can get you throwing as quickly as possible.
We're working on obtaining our beer and wine license, and look forward to serving some of the best beers that local Colorado breweries are producing. Unfortunately, that means that we currently can't allow alcohol in our facility. The good news is that Jagged Mountain Craft Brewery is right downstairs, and you're more than welcome to head down for a beer between turns if you get thirsty.
Where we're located
Our address is 2000 Lawrence Street in Denver, Colorado. We're located on the second floor of our building - our door is directly next to Jagged Mountain's outdoor seating on Lawrence Street (and yes, we have an elevator for those who prefer or need one). LoDo and RiNo bars and restaurants are easily walkable, and we're only a couple of blocks away from Coors Field in case you want to catch a game and are looking for a pre- or post-game activity.
Parking and transportation
Unfortunately because of our central location we don't have access to our own lot. However, there is abundant street (metered) parking as well as a number of private parking lots and garages within a block or two of our location. One thing we'd strongly advise before driving over is to check the Rockies schedule. Because we're only a couple of blocks away from the stadium, rates can rise significantly for the parking lots around us during home games. For those times, Uber, Lyft, or a taxi might be a better option if walking isn't a possibility.
